Getting There
There are buses from Moshi to Dar es Salaam every day, leaving by the earliest bus will get you to Dar es Salaam in time to catch the last boat to Zanzibar. There are buses and taxis available to take you from the bus station to the port (max USD 5). There are also regular flights from Kilimanjaro Airport to Zanzibar (USD 147) or from Arusha to Dar es Salaam (USD 167). From Dar es Salaam airport to the port taxis cost at most USD 20.

The boat journey takes a little under 2 hours and operates between 0800 and 1630. There are approximately 8 boats per day. A first class ticket costs USD 40, standard is USD 35.
